Nutrien is a leading crop inputs and services provider that is helping to sustainably feed a growing world. 

As a Senior User Experience designer I was commissioned to help mature Nutrien’s safety culture by delivering a digital space that would open the lines of communication, provide lifesaving resources, and guide the actions and behaviors of Nutrien’s people leaders.


Highlights

  • leveraging my experience with SharePoint to maximize Nutrien’s existing investment in Microsoft’s ecosystem

  • partnering with a User Research expert to meet with people leaders, create personas, and help us develop a deeper understanding of our target audience

  • integrating Yammer, an enterprise social networking service, to provide powerful and familiar communication capabilities

  • incorporating like, share, and comment capabilities to build engagement, increase content discovery, and amplify important messages

  • shifting delivery of suitable information from email to the site to declutter inboxes, incorporate social features, and provide a historical database

  • including real time safety statistics to increase transparency and awareness

  • creating searchable and filterable document libraries to structure and organize vast amounts of safety documentation

  • providing administrators with branded site, page, and component templates, allowing them to easily scale the site while maintaining a consistent look and feel

The final home page design is easy to scan and provides engaging, dynamic content that encourages visitors to interact.

We ensured that visitors could dig deeper and educate themselves while maintaining an uncluttered interface.

The responsive website provides the same great experience on any size device.

Finger-friendly search and navigation on mobile.

The searchable and filterable peer shared document library allows staff to easily share, like, and consume information that was previously difficult to find.
